International Conference on Innovation and Technopreneurship (ICIT) is an annual event organized by INTI International University. The theme of ICIT 2022 is Embracing Transformation and Innovation towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The SDG is a global commitment towards a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive development adopted by Malaysia with world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In line with the theme, the conference was a platform for delegates to share about advanced innovation while embracing the transformation that contributes to several SDGs including Good Health and Well-being – ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages (Goal 3), Clean Water and Sanitation – ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all (Goal 6), and Affordable and Clean Energy – ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all (Goal 7).
Other SDGs that were discussed at this conference include Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (Goal 9) – ensure resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation and Sustainable Cities and Communities – make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable (Goal 11), Responsible, Consumption and Production – ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns worldwide (Goal 12).
It was an achievement to have 31 keynote speakers, 132 presenters and 450 participants from India, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Pakistan Vietnam, Afghanistan, Botswana, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, China, Zimbabwe, Italy, Bangladesh, Maldives, Egypt, Brunei and Indonesia supporting ICIT 2022.
In 2022 the best overall paper won the award sponsored by Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Malaysia. On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, the Chair of ICIT 2022, Assoc Prof. Ir Dr. Malathy Batumalay extends her deepest gratitude to all who have contributed to make this conference a rousing success.
