APNN 2020 Annual meeting – on-line participation

Dear APNN representatives,

The 2020 APNN & IConWiST is scheduled to be held in New Taipei City Hall during Oct. 23-26 in 2 ways: in-person and on-line participation.

Currently, we postpone the deadline for early bird registration and abstract submission to Aug. 31 2020. Please encourage your members to submit abstracts and register for the meeting. Only those who have registered can join the conference online with special link. More importantly, the registration fee for online participants is waived. All registration fees for in-person participation are reduced to half of the original price announced. International attendees can pay the registration fees (US $30 or NT 1500) on-site during the Conference. Indeed, we do hope that many of you can come to Taiwan and attend the events in person if the situation permits.

Due to the pandemic situation, some of the keynote speakers will deliver their talks via video and participate online if they cannot come. We will invite panelists for the 5 sessions on Oct. 25(Sun) according to the submitted abstracts. All the speakers, including those who participate online, will receive an honorarium. Since this is a new conference format, we have to discuss and re-submit our proposal to the funding agency and wait for its approval.

According to the following timeline, we would like to gently remind you and all members that:

  1. The deadline for abstract submission and early bird registration is Aug. 31 2020.
  2. Please let us know your name and the country you represent so that we can send the special link for registration and hotel booking.
  3. Please send your 2020 APNN Country Report form by Aug. 31 and assign one representative to deliver the oral report on Oct. 24.
  4. All speakers are required to send their speech materials in PowerPoint (ppt) format before Sept. 30 so that we can prepare the meeting e-handbook, including abstracts and slides to all participants before Oct. 23.

Thank you for your participation. Please stay safe and best wishes to you and your members.

Sincerely,

Chia-Li Wu
Chair of INWES-APNN (2018-2020)
