How should leadership be judged in today’s high-stakes environments? INWES is supporting a global study to move beyond outdated models and record the lived experiences of women leaders. We invite you to read the following message and contribute to this important study aimed at redefining leadership for the future.

What do we expect from those in positions of leadership today? How should trust be built, accountability exercised, and behaviour judged in environments where the stakes are increasingly high? Too often, leadership is still measured through outdated models that fail to reflect how decisions are actually made in practice. The Leadership Renaissance is a global inquiry capturing the lived experiences of women leading today – how leadership is tested, applied and challenged in real-world environments. Drawing on contributions from over 30 countries, it is building a structured record to inform how leadership is understood, evaluated and taught going forward.
A selected group of women in science, engineering and technology are being invited to contribute – and your perspective is part of that. Without perspectives like yours, this record will not reflect the realities of leadership in science and engineering. The survey takes 7 minutes and responses are confidential and anonymous. This work is being shaped now, and your input will contribute to a body of insight used to inform research, education and leadership frameworks globally – helping define how leadership will be measured, judged and advanced in the years ahead.

The Global Survey closes on 30th June 2026.
