Established at the initiative of the Government of Uzbekistan, the Prize seeks to reward outstanding efforts of individuals, institutions and organizations that have made significant contributions to the understanding of artificial intelligence and its ethical implications by promoting research, cooperation and its use in various fields. Three prize-winners will be chosen, each receiving a Beruniy medal, a certificate and a monetary award of $30,000.
Nominations may be submitted by Member States, via their National Commissions, as well as from non-governmental organizations maintaining official partnerships with the Organization and active in relevant fields covered by the Prize and UNESCO Chairs,
category 2 institutes and centres, international scientific unions, universities.
To this end, please complete the attached nomination form, either in English or French, and submit it to UNESCO by 30 June 2025.

Au nom de la Directrice Générale, j’ai le plaisir d’inviter votre organisation à soumettre des candidatures pour la première édition du Prix UNESCO-Ouzbékistan Beruniy pour la recherche scientifique sur l’éthique de l’intelligence artificielle (IA).
Créé à l’initiative du gouvernement de l’Ouzbékistan, ce prix récompense les efforts exceptionnels d’individus, d’institutions et d’organisations ayant contribué de manière significative à la compréhension de l’intelligence artificielle et de ses implications éthiques, en

Les candidatures peuvent être soumises par les États membres via leurs Commissions nationales, ainsi que par les organisations non gouvernementales en partenariat officiel avec l’UNESCO et actives dans les domaines couverts par le Prix, et les Chaires UNESCO, les
