BIEN 2025 & INWES APNN Meeting

The Association of Korean Woman Scientists and Engineers (KWSE) is pleased to announce that the 6th KWSE International Conference for Women in Science and Technology—BIEN 2025—will be held from August 20 to 22, 2025, at Hotel ICC in Daejeon, Korea. We are deeply grateful to the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES) for co-hosting BIEN 2025 and the 2025 INWES Asia Pacific Nation Network (APNN) Meeting, in continued support of women in STEM around the world.

With the theme “Science and Technology Without Borders,” this year’s conference will bring together leading scientists and engineers from around the world to explore new pathways for international collaboration and scientific innovation. The theme reflects our belief that science and technology must transcend national, generational, and disciplinary boundaries to contribute meaningfully to the collective advancement of humanity.

Over the three days, the conference will facilitate the exchange of achievements across the fields of Bio, Information, Environment/Earth/Atomic, Space, and Basic Sciences. Gender issues in STEM will also be a major topic of discussion throughout the event. Women leaders of APNN member countries will engage in in-depth discussions, sharing national policies that support women in STEM and presenting their organizations’ efforts to advocate for gender equity in science and technology.
