2026 INWES-APNN Conference Website
It is our great delight to announce that 2026 INWES-APNN Conference will be held on November 3rd–5th, 2026, at the National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) in the vibrant harbor city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. In an era when humanity faces unprecedented environmental and ecological challenges, this gathering stands as both a call to action and a beacon of hope. Under the main theme, “Exploring the Key Roles of Women Engineers and Scientists in Building an I.D.E.A.L. and Sustainable Planet for All,” we cordially invite you to join us for this event to recognize, celebrate, and strengthen the transformative leadership of women in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, and to explore the fullest potentials of women engineers and scientists that may be contributed in addressing the ongoing environmental and ecological challenges.
Here, I.D.E.A.L. is an acronym representing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Appreciation, and Love- five essential pillars for addressing the urgent crises of our time and for co-creating a sustainable and harmonious planet. Women engineers and scientists play multi-faceted and indispensable roles in advancing innovation, shaping policy, leading industries, and inspiring future generations. Through this conference, we aim to address and end gender bias in an era of environmental crisis, establish models for gender equity, empower women’s leadership, and advocate the spirit of “He For She.” We will also explore how AI can serve as a force for equity, rather than division, and how transdisciplinary STEAM education can break boundaries and unlock inclusive innovation.
A highlight of this year’s program is the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), emphasizing that true sustainability begins from within. Through seven dynamic workshops, thematic sessions on exercising IDGs, and interactive activities, participants will engage in meaningful dialogue and practical strategies—cultivating balanced feminine and masculine traits within everyone and fostering collaboration across academia, government, industry, and civil society.
We are honored to welcome participants, including distinguished international delegates, leaders from academia and government, industry pioneers, STEAM educators, global IDG hub representatives, and members of women’s alliances and organizations worldwide. May this conference inspire courageous leadership, deepen global partnerships, and ignite collective commitment to building an I.D.E.A.L. and sustainable planet for all. We cordially invite you to join us in Kaohsiung, Taiwan for this impactful and forward-looking gathering!
