ICWES Conference Series

• Provide continuity and communications (schedule & programs).
• Identify potential locations 6 years out.
• Work with host organization/country on logistics, notifications & registration.
• Provide sponsorship for visas and other support needed for fundraising, etc.

Programs created in 2004

• Develop electronic archives for ICWES 1 to 12 conferences.
• Develop a comprehensive web portal.
• Develop a manual on how to start-up an association of (for) women in STEM in a region or in a country
• Provided support to start a regional association in India.
• Organised a regional workshop in Kenya.
• Provide international voice for women in STEM.
• Establish a “sister association program”.
• Develop, collect and disseminate resources and successful practices in youth engagement.

Projects in development

• Establish a scholarship program for students presenting papers at ICWES Conferences.
• Add professional/student development program at conferences.
• Launch a best essay competition in each of INWES’ 11 regions for high school girls on why they want to be a scientist or an engineer.
