What INWES is

INWES is:

• an international network specifically focused on supporting women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
• an international organisation founded as a legal entity set up under the laws of Canada through the collaboration of numerous organisational, individual, and corporate members.
• an organisation run by an elected Board of Directors of not less than 9 and not more than 18, of whom not more than twelve (12) are Organizational Directors, three (3) are Corporate Directors, and three (3) are Individual Directors.
• an inclusive organisation that is multilingual and multinational. Eleven (11) geographical regions are represented within INWES:

  5. French speaking Africa
  6. English speaking Africa

• an organisation that develop and run a program to accomplish its mission.
• an organisation that oversees the triennial ICWES conference, which is a conference that includes sessions on scientific and technical programs as well as sessions on gender science.
